While Nvidia’s latest GPUs boast incredible performance for AI workloads, they remain confined within the walled gardens of big tech and cloud providers. At AI Network, we are building the decentralized infrastructure to democratize AI development and compute access. Through blockchain-based Runo NFTs, we introduce truly decentralized GPU computing resources, allowing developers to seamlessly tap into a distributed network of high-performance GPUs unshackled from the priorities of ad-driven tech giants. In doing so, AI Network is architecting the next paradigm of ethical, transparent decentralized AI that augments humanity rather than serving corporate interests.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang giving his Keynote speed at GTC 2024

The GTC Nvidia conference in San Jose, CA, saw CEO Jensen Huang making a slew of partnership & product announcements in his keynote speech on Monday 18th Mar. He unveiled, amongst other things, the Blackwell AI GPU and the GB200 AI platform, which integrates Grace Hopper CPU with the powerful B200 AI GPU. Running until the 21st, the conference has brought together some 300 exhibitors, along with heavy-hitting speakers ranging from OpenAI’s COO to Microsoft’s vice president of generative AI.

Nvidia say their latest tech heralds a new era in speed and efficiency of AI computing, and the sheer scale and popularity of Nvidia’s annual conference shows how far global interest in AI has come, along with the monumental growth of the artificial intelligence market. Value of Nvidia shares have almost tripled over the last 12 months and AI companies, startups and developers from all corners of the globe race for possession of Nvidia GPUs.

All information provided is for educational and informational purposes only.

The specific desire for the H100, H200 and other Nvidia chips seem to be justified, though. With their Hopper architecture, these chips provide AI developers with unrivaled processing power to build various AI models (LLMs, stable diffusion models etc), and the newer B200 chips built on this power. Nvidia GPUs have become the go-to hardware resource across the board for companies and developers training & deploying AI projects. The cutting edge technology coupled with sheer demand ensure these coveted chips do not come cheap, with prices of the H100 topping $40,000 each (and that’s before taking electricity and running costs into account).

The eye-wateringly high costs often make these much sought-after chips prohibitively expensive for smaller AI companies, startups or independent developers. The issue this brings is that if the resources required for building AI cost so much, then only those with significant financial backing can afford to build AI models. This firmly places the overall development, along with the general direction of AI, in the hands of large corporations and a select few people. Suffice to say, this severely restricts wider creativity in the field of AI-model building, and leaves a worrying level of centralization and a lack of democracy in a space which is fast taking over the world.

This isn’t to say we’re blaming Nvidia, or any other GPU manufacturer — their hardware is what’s allowing the exciting world of AI to flourish. We just need a higher level of democratization with the AI space.

But how do we do that?

We leverage blockchain technology. Every modern computer and cellular device houses a GPU chip, and the computing power these chips provide is exactly the type that can power AI. Some of the processing power the chip in your phone or your laptop churns out goes idle, and we can use the blockchain to capture that idle power and supply it to the AI startups and developers that need it.

Not only does this democratize AI, in the sense that smaller developers and companies get the chance to receive the power they need to build their AI models, but it also democratizes where that GPU power comes from. Instead of a few hugely expensive chips being housed in the same place and owned by the same company; a lot of smaller chips, distributed over a much larger network of providers, supply their idle computing power to AI development.

This not only democratizes AI by allowing smaller companies to build AI (and therefore allowing a larger number of them to build, encouraging higher creativity, compared to the small amount of large companies building AI as it is now), but also democratizes the source of that computing power, along with reducing waste of GPU processing power, which has the added benefit of working toward AI sustainability.

Sounds like a great idea, right? Well, it’s something we’re already doing at AI Network.

AI startups and companies who need GPU resources pitch to our #DAO, a community of AI enthusiasts who collectively vote on which applicants should receive resources. We then gather GPU resources by offering RUNO NFTs for sale. All this means is that you or anyone else can provide your device’s idle GPU power to the AI project of your choice by purchasing Runo NFT, and receive a daily passive income paid straight into your wallet in the form of $AIN tokens.

AI startups receive the GPU resources they need, we democratize those resources by obtaining them from various sources, Runo NFT holders get to support AI projects by contributing GPU resources, also contributing to AI sustainability, and get paid daily rewards while they do it.

This is how we democratize & decentralize AI development, whilst incentivizing everyone in the process.

We’re furthering our democratization of AI through our latest partnership with AWS (Amazon Web Services). We’re offering GPU resources from no less than 8 H100 Nvidia graphics processing units (worth around $143,000) for 2 months through our GPU accelerator programme.

This programm is specifically designed to aid AI startups who are innovating in the space and do not have access to the GPU resources they require. If you are an AI project that requires resources visit https://link.ainize.ai/AWS-RunoGPU.

Nvidia will keep creating chips that provide the ultimate powerhouse for AI development, ensuring the new wave of AI development continues.

We will keep democratizing AI and making its resources and development accessible to all.

Join us. Purchase Runo to support democratized AI development while earning a passive income. Apply for our AWS GPU accelerator programme if you require resources, or join AIN DAO to get involved in governing the direction of AI.

AI Network is a decentralized AI development ecosystem based on blockchain technology. Within its ecosystem, resource providers can earn $AIN tokens for their GPUs, developers can gain access to GPUs for open source AI programs, and creators can transform their AI creations into AINFTs. The ultimate goal of AI Network is to bring AI to Web3, where everyone can easily develop and utilize artificial intelligence.
