Web3 AI Seoul brought together 25 CEOs, chief execs, experts and thought leaders from 25 projects and companies from across the world leading the Web3 and AI spaces.
This groundbreaking event focused on exploring the intersection of Web3 and AI. Topics discussed included the latest developments in the spaces, the future of work in relation to these technologies and where the cutting-edge may be headed next.
In particular the summit focused on exploring the creative, finance, media and infrastructure sectors, and how Web3 and AI will impact and interact with them. The event was held at Uncommon Gallery in Gangnam, Seoul — South Korea’s premier gallery space for Web3 and digital art.
The day started with opening remarks from the event organizers’, AI Network founder Minhyun Kim and Block Media CSO Ethan Choi, followed by talks on building in session 1, explorations on infrastructure in session 2, and ending with two panel discussions followed by networking and refreshments.
Over 400 professionals, academics and those passionate about the future of technology attended throughout the day, and the summit offered the unique opportunity to engage with experts and like-minded individuals from around the world.

Session 2 focused on AI infrastructure in Web3, and covered topics like the importance of AI innovation, data sovereignty & ownership, on & offline connectivity and AI decentralization.
SK Networks & Walkerhill | Woo Cheol Kim, Manager
SK Networks is a South Korean conglomerate operating across a variety of sectors including trading and ICT, and Walkerhill is a luxury hotel in Seoul where the Korea Blockchain Week 2024 conference was held. Woo Cheol Kim gave a talk in Korean on popularizing on and offline connectivity in the age of Web3, particularly from the stance of legacy businesses.
AI Network | Simon Kim, CSO
AI Network, the organizer of this Web3 AI Seoul event, and focuses on multiple angles within Web3 and AI, including decentralized GPU infrastructure, decentralized LLM architecture, blockchain-based AI development and AI & Web3 art and creativity. AI Network CSO Simon Kim spoke on the importance of driving AI innovation, particularly from the perspective of individual user value and ownership of AI-created value, including Unblock Media.

David Mueller, Theoriq Co-Founder, spoke on the open AI agent revolution, why AI agents are key to the future of AI, and Theoriq’s role in it. AI agents are autonomous software programmes that process data, make decisions, and execute tasks without direct human intervention, often run through LLM’s. Theoriq focuses on decentralizing AI development and providing a marketplace for AI agents, enabling developers to create and deploy AI agents for various applications.
ZettaBlock | Chi Zhang, CEO
Zettablock CEO Chi Zhang spoke on the ultimate importance of trustlessness in AI, outlining how Zettablock are the decentralized platform for trustless and scalable AI development which empowers an open ecosystem for models and datasets, and how data is the foundation of the entire AI ecosystem.
Artela | Jerry Li, CEO
Artela is a blockchain infrastructure platform aimed at creating a highly extensible and modular Layer 1 blockchain, allowing developers to build dApps and extend blockchain functionality with custom extensions, enabling more on-chain programmability. Artela CEO Jerry Li talked about how Artela can help unleash decentralized AI through their EVM.
VANA | Anna Kazlauskas, CEO
VANA believes in the sovereignty of personal data, and consequently the power of data ownership and decentralized AI. CEO Anna Kazlauskas gave a highly influential talk about the importance of user owning their data and how VANA will help by building user-owned AI through user-owned data.
KIP | Jennifer Dodgson, Chief AI Officer
KIP Protocol is a Web3 platform focused on decentralized AI, allowing AI creators like developers, model makers and data owners to deploy, interact with and monetize their AI assets, all while maintaining full ownership rights. KIP’s chief AI officer Jennifer Dodson delivered a rousing presentation on the absolute importance of decentralizing AI, and the dangers of centralized AI monopolies.
Panel Discussions
Panel Discussion 1: AI-driven Business Transformation — Opportunities and Strategies
The first panel discussion focused on redefining AI’s role in creativity and curation. Taking part in the panel were founder Lucia of Aeon Studio, Jiwoo Jun of Kaito AI, Andy Cho of IQ and Claire Dang of Hooked Protocol.
Moderated by Seongmin Yoon, AI Network marketing lead, the audience enjoyed a spirited discussion about human creativity and AI, AI in IQ’s blockchain encyclopedia, AI search and social learning in Web3.
Panel Discussion 2: AI in Web3 — Transforming the Future of Decentralized Technology
Panel 2 discussed the challenges and opportunities in decentralized AI. Taking part were Calanthia Mei of MASA, Eric Fung of Qubic, Daniel Khoo of Grass, Alex GG of Rena Labs, and James Ikeguchi of Covalent.
Moderated by Rajeet Singh of AI Network, the panel had a fascinating discussion on resource-use in centralized and decentralized AI, data provenance, how AI solves needs within crypto, and AI regulations.
